As of 2020, the area of the territory is 652.4 km², the population is 9,877.
It was formed on July 28, 2016 by merging Bondarivska, Kalinivska, Kupyschenska, Poliska, Ryshavska and Ushomirska village councils of Korosten district of Zhytomyr region.
On December 4, 2018, Biloshitsivska, Veselivska, and Lisivshchyna village councils of Korosten district joined the community.
In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 711-r dated June 12, 2020 “On the determination of administrative centers and approval of the territories of territorial communities of Zhytomyr region”, territories and settlements of Bilkivska, Novinska, Stavyschenska and Sushkivska village councils of Korosten district were included in the composition of the community.
According to the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated June 17, 2020 “On the formation and liquidation of districts”, the community became part of the newly created Korosten district of Zhytomyr region.
As of 2017, the community supported 12 paramedics and midwives, 3 polyclinics, 8 schools of various degrees, 4 kindergartens, 25 cultural institutions and a physical education institution.
